Frequently asked questions

Each booking includes at least one learner, and learners must be aged 5 or over. All participants under 18 take lessons and travel with a parent; adults aged 18 and over can choose to take lessons or simply come along. Adults aged 18 and over who take lessons may also come alone and choose Z Garden Hotel, a J Boutique Hotel bed or the H Hotel suite; S Resort is only for parents travelling with their children. Rooms are shared only within your own party, except beds at J Boutique Hotel; group classes are formed by age and English level.

The program combines one-to-one English, group lessons and a one-day workplace experience. Children and adults who take lessons have separate lessons. Group classes aim for 6–8 learners and are organised by age and level. An assessment on arrival informs each learner’s one-to-one practice.

Group classes are arranged by age and level and take place on Days 2, 5 and 9 from 13:30 to 14:30. A parent and child may sometimes share a suitable group class.

Learning covers listening, speaking, reading, writing and pronunciation through age- and level-appropriate practice. Learning materials for each learner are included in the package.

Parents do not need to sit beside their child during lessons. Children join their scheduled one-to-one and group classes, and families staying at S Resort can conveniently reunite in the same building after class.

Yes. Parents can take lessons (student price) or come along without lessons (accompanying parent price).

On the afternoon of Day 13, every child presents in English, and parents are welcome to watch. That evening, at the teacher-led graduation, every child receives a bilingual Chinese–English El Nido Academy certificate of completion.

Teachers send a one-line note on LINE each day about your child’s learning. At the end of the program, you receive written feedback with a growth radar chart covering listening, speaking, vocabulary, pronunciation and confidence.
