How we care for children in El Nido, the medical facilities nearby and how transfers work.

If a child is unwell

  1. Accompanied to the doctor

    If your child is ill or injured, a staff member goes with them to the hospital or clinic

  2. Prompt contact in Chinese or English

    If anything happens, we contact parents in Chinese or English straight away

  3. Transfer when needed

    Specialist or critical care means an overland transfer to Puerto Princesa (about 4.5–6 hours), or a transfer via Clark to Manila

Everyday life in El Nido

  • Staff on site 24/7

    S Resort is staffed 24 hours a day

  • Safety on the water

    Snorkelling and freediving are voluntary, with coaches and life jackets provided. If the weather keeps boats in port, we arrange other activities.

  • A safe town

    El Nido is very safe, and walking around town in the evening is safe

  • Water and power

    S Resort has drinking water dispensers and a backup generator for power cuts
